YES! It’s true….my Mum and Dad have gone a bit loopy over me, this kitten, now named Ari, and it was a very long serious and complex decision for them to make, they tell me, so I am starting a blog, with my Mums help, all about our life and adventures.
With their new unusual RV/trailer/caravan lifestyle, and their many new travels and adventures, they gave adoption a lot of thought, checked their budget and then looked at my little face and they were done for.

In Mum’s entire life most of the pets she has had have usually been rescues off streets or someone was getting rid of them, or someone asked her to re-home an animal. Up to now, she had never gone to a rescue center and picked one out. She told me that for me she did, so I am really special.
For anyone that recalls and knows my Mum, and has followed her crazy life on Facebook, the story she told me will be very familiar to you about when she first came back to Canada and how she found a lovely female tabby cat, that she couldn’t home because she was travelling back-and-forth between England and Canada for over a year, but she did find that kitty a wonderful ‘other’ home.
That was very early in Mum and Dad’s marriage and, if I am remembering correctly from what Mum told me at the beginning , she really didn’t know where Dad stood on pets. He had told her he never owned a cat in his life, in fact not many pets at all really, so he a bit astounded that Mum not only advertised the cat she had found to get her a new home, but got her neutered, security chipped and when people answered the advertisement, she interviewed them, had them come to the house and went and checked out their homes to make sure that kitty was going to the right forever place.
Snickels (that was the other kitties name) was amazing. I hear wondeful stories of how that kitty is now in a fantastic home and Mum and Dad use to miss her because she was one of the sweetest and cleverest cats they had ever been around. That is to say, Mum assures me, till I came in to their lives!
As many of Mum’s friends and family know, she has moved quite a few times in her life and so she was even more cautious about investing in or getting a pet that she may have to leave or re-home because she didn’t think it very fair to any animal if you can’t commit to their full lifetime. After all we fall in love with them just as much as they fall in love with us and they are then our humans, our people, and having to move and stress and adjust to someone else is very difficult and unfair if at all avoidable.
With all that in mind, and much consultation, my furrever family added me, at 9 week 6 days old, Ari (the lionhearted) to our trailer home and to a new life, and they hope I will be with them till either the end of my days or theirs, which ever comes first.
Mum and Dad’s ages were taken into account because they are not getting any younger, (don’t tell them I said so) and so they got a firm promise from a loved one that if something happens to them, before my cat life is through, they will look after me for the rest of my natural days.
I’m growing up so fast and already ruling this particular roost. There have already been many explorations since I moved in ago and ones I’ll tell you about soon, I promise. Lots of fun to catch up on.
Stay ‘tuned’ as I hope to fill in many of the gaps and answer questions as I post more of how Ari (me) explores in my new life with my family. This is my first try at this and so far It’s been an amazing 34 weeks of life and I have lots to tell you.
Like my profile says, I have my own TikTok and Instagram account now so Mum will record my progress there too.
For anyone interested, my TikTok and Instagram are: @arifindsahome
Be kind to each other and please do leave feedback and comments.
